International Training Course in Russia • September 11-19, 2010
INVITATION
Association of regional youth centers in Slovakia in cooperation with movement „SFERA" invites you to nominate participants for "FLY", an international 8-day-training course on the design, facilitation, coaching and reflection on/of learning processes and group dynamics in non-formal education and (international) youth work. A special focus will be put on invention and innovation. The training course is directed at experienced trainers, group leaders and youth workers in (international) youth work.
MAIN ISSUES TACKLED
PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS
This advanced training course is directed at experienced persons in (international) youth work, who have already several times been in charge of learning and group processes, this could be for instance as a trainer on a training course, as a workcamp leader or as a youth activity organizer. "FLY" will offer the opportunity to reflect on and discuss experiences made, to get a clearer picture of one's role as a trainer and of one's own strengths and weaknesses, to enhance and fine-tune one's awareness and capacities for intervention strategies in learning and group processes, to invent and try out on the spot new tools, and to give and receive feedback from/to the group and the trainers. The training course will be held in English.
APPLICATION PROCESS AND TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
Candidates should use the official application form and submit it by e-mail until August 13th the latest for participants from EU countries.
You will be notified before August 15th if you are selected, or if you are put on waiting list. Once you have received the notification of your selection, please immediately finalize your travel arrangements. Your travel should be arranged to Nizhniy Novgorod in Russia. Please arrive to Nizhny Novgorod before 2 pm of September 11th. Please do not confirm any travel arrangements before receiving the confirmation of your selection! If you arrive earlier or leave later, please contact the organizer to arrange accommodation and registration for you.
FINANCIAL CONDITIONS:
The training course is funded by the Slovakian National Agency for the programme Youth in Action of the European Union, European Youth Foundation, and it is supported by SALTO EECA RC. Thanks to the funding received, we are able to cover all expenses, except for 30% of the travel costs and a participation fee of EUR 80 for Participants from EU countries and 40 for the others.
